A Master Class of Terroir.

BALATON 2018

Hidden Treasures is a pan-Pannonian project by Roland Velich of Moric. Together they elevate great indigenous varieties to wines worthy of their ancient promise.

Hidden Treasure No. 3 is brought to you by Roland and Villa Tolnay of Balaton and is a blend of Riesling and Furmint. It's grown on the volcanic hills around Lake Balaton, which feature basalt at the top of the slope and limestone lower down.

HAUS MARKE ROT 2017

A SUPER blend of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Pinot Noir , as always with Roland Velich of Moric, it doesn't lack depth or gravitas. Fresh bramble and cherry fruit on the nose, with earthy spice chiming in on the palate. Good, juicy ripe fruit is lent assistance by excellent tannins and crunchy acidity that give this pretty serious length.

RESERVE 2017

This wine marries the great heritage of Neckenmarkt and Lutzmannsburg, and embodies Moric's concept of 'reserve' quality: selection in distinct vineyards with specific attributes regarding vine age, site and soil – just the best barrels coming out of these vineyards find their way into the Reserve blend. Mainly based on limestone origins, the elegance and distinctive spice of the Neckenmarkter component and the earthy floral aromas of Lutzmannsburg combine to show a unity of great structure and finesse.

JAGINI 2013

Jagini - the emphasis is on the a - is a joint project by Roland Velich and Hannes Schuster: They produce a single varietal Blaufränkisch on around three hectares around Zagersdorf, which, like a village location in Burgundy, fully reflects the spirit and taste of the place , and comes up with an extremely fine and elegant style. The winemakers give their wine plenty of time to mature: The “Jagini Zagersdorf” is only put on the market after five years of storage - probably unique in Austria.
